We're pleased to announce that 3rd Asian Summer School in Information Access (ASSIA 2017) will be held on August 2-5, 2017, Kyoto Japan. ASSIA 2017 will offer lectures taught by world-class experts in Information Access. Lecture topics include core topics such as advanced Information Retrieval models, user modelling, and social media analysis, but also advanced topics such as deep learning and online experiment in IR. The summer school also offers a panel session on writing a good paper for top conferences, and poster presentation by participants.

ASSIA 2017 will be co-located with SIGIR 2017 (August 7-11, 2017, Tokyo, Japan), and thus, we expect to have participants from a broader range of countries and regions than previous summer schools.
